Ipswich Music was established and first opened in 1984 by Steve Webber and his family. It has been family owned and operated since its inception. Originally selling vinyl LPs, Singles, & Cassettes, the purpose & function has changed and broadened over the years.	Original location next to the Choate Bridge on 1-A (on left).
Our original location at the foot of Town Hill, next to the Choate Bridge in downtown Ipswich	Originally located by the Ipswich River (street-side to the Choate Bridge on Rt. 1-A & above Chipper's Restaurant) the business moved to the other side of the downtown district by the railroad station.
We moved again when the Bank purchased the property for their new location. We set up shop on Central St. (Rt. 1-A) next to the House of Pizza in 1995. We remained here for quite some time. However, things continue to change here in our town. The pizza place is going to expand, so again we found ourselves moving.	The new bank located on the property that once housed our second location. The old, boxy lime-green building that was once a furniture factory. After we moved, the building was leveled and the train station that was behind it was moved across the road.
Our former location on Hammett St, in the building that once housed Agawam Hardware.	That brought us to our new location on Hammett St, just around the corner from our last location. We had a grand re-opening in 2003.
After six years at this location, we made our most recent move to our new location at 197 High Street! We share a parking lot with the butcher next door and State Supply Plumbing. We are happy to celebrate our 25^th anniversary in this new shop on the main flow of traffic on Rts. 1-A/133 just south of the Rowley border and only about a mile from our downtown. Our NEW location at 197 High St. (1-A / 133).	Since we first opened our doors, we have been dedicated to providing our customers with the latest in music as well as the classics of yesteryear. We have broadened our methods of providing that service by creating a successful DJ branch. We have hosted school functions, weddings and all other manners of parties and social events. We currently have several DJs on our team, all who have years of experience as the Master of Ceremonies.
Another branch of our service has been in the sales of guitars and guitar accessories. The fine thing about a guitar in this day and age (and in ages past to the time of its creation) is that a guitar can carry itself as a form of entertainment. We carry guitars by Cort. We stock them in the store, and also encourage our customers to look at their full line at their web site. We can custom order any guitar they make.
